ROK (Steakhouse & Grill/'nBowls)

Most of my early professional design
work started with a company called Rok
Bistro. As the restaurant grew, it branched
into different businesses that I also had a
hand in designing for. For Rok Bistro, it
was a lot of small changes to menus with
words, spacing, and price changes. Once I
gained more experience during my time at
university, I was able to take on a bigger
a task at Rok Bistro's sister location,
Rok Steakhouse & Grill.
My creative work at Rok Steakhouse
& Grill included logos, business cards,
menus, and flyers. The restaurants became
popular for serving protein on 700 hundred-
degree volcanic stones so the aspect of fire
played a big role in the identity of the brand.
Using the flames and bright warm colors, I
wanted to make customers excited. These
customers not only came for the food
but for the experience.
The last business I worked with was Rok's
third extension, Rok'n Bowls. This restaurant
was a take-out-only restaurant that I helped
brand from the ground up. I created the
logo with the intention of customers feeling
like they could take that excitement home
with them. These delicious meals were
organized beautifully within take-out bowls
so I wanted to capture that within the logo by
making everything organized and simple.
felt like it was important to keep a general
theme throughout all the restaurant's visual
components consistent so all three
businesses would feel familiar aesthetically.
